3 Turn pivot bolt in either direction until a pedal lever free play of is obtained Free play may t v 34 i l Fig 5 27 Position of Bolt H od Projection SERVICE C PARKING BRAKE LEVER Removal fig 5 29 1 With brake released separate cable from lever by removing cable clevis pin 2 Remove bolts retaining lever assembly to mounting bracket and remove assembly from vehicle Installation 1 Position lever assembly on mounting bracket and install bolts and lock washers 2 Lubricate clevis inner surfaces and cable ball with lubriplate and position over lever 3 Lightly coat clevis pin with lubriplate and install through clevis and lever secure with cotter pin FORWARD CABLE Removal 1 With brake released separate cable from lever by removing cable clevis pin Remove screw from clamp located on lever bracket 2 Raise vehicle and remove screws holding four retaining clamps to inboard side of left underbody rail 3 Remove anti rattle spring and idler linkage return o WIN K 0 f rw ru w y
