CORVAIR 95 AND GA Ih Page General Description 2 12 Engine 2 12 Front Suspension and Steering Linkage 2 12 Battery 2 12 GENERAL I The lubrication recommendations for the Greenbrier Sportswagon and Commercial series models are the same as the 500 700 and 900 Corvair models except as outlined in the following paragraphs ENGINE The engine components requi mg regular servicing and lubrication are reached through a hinged access door located above the rear bumper This door affords access to the engine oil filler tube engine oil filter generator and distributor fig 2 24 The air cleaners are serviced through a removable engine compartment panel located at the rear of the cargo area floor fig 2 25 T1ie engine crankcase capacity lubrication change intervals and type of oil used remain the same as the Corvair 500 700 and 900 series vehicles Refer to the previous sub section 1 t T rrrr taa Fig 2 24 Engine Access Door FRONT SUSPENSION AND STEERING LINKAGE For chassis lubrication consult the lubrication chart Figure 2 34 which shows the points to be lubricated There are seven lubrication points on the steering linkage and four on the front suspension EENBRIER 1200 SERIES IDEX Page Standard Transmission Gear Shift Control 2 13 Brake and Clutch Pedals 2 13 Body Lubrication 2 13 ESCRIPTION ENGINE TOP ACCESS PANEL ATTACHING SCREWS ENGINE REAR ACCESS PANEL RELEASE Fig 2 25 Engine Comportment Access Panel Location BATTERY The battery service requirements remain the same as listed in the previous sub section A hinged battery w 1 y q Fig 2 26 Battery Access Door
