ENGINE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS PART NO 3930949 T GENERAL INFORMATION 1 When installing clutch housing transmission pilot bore alignment and face runout should be checked as specified in the Chevrolet Shop Manual Also transfer housing underpan underpan extension clutch fork boot and all attaching parts 2 Models with optional equipment require transfer or replacement of engine parts special to such options 3 When using on powerglide models remove clutch pilot bushing from crankshaft 4 A plug is provided in the cylinder head temperature switch hole for models prior to 1967 For current models remove plug to insert temperature switch 5 Distributor attaching parts also require transfer from replaced engine 6 On closed ventilation models remove the center portion of the grommet included with the rocker cover in order to assemble the hose and pipes 7 If any part number listed above is not shown in the current parts catalog check history section of catalog for replacing parts 3 197O CHEVROLET MOTOR DIVISION GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION P A 31S 62
