This Parts Book contains standard and optional parts for 5000 6000 and 6500 series truck models and is arranged in the following sequence Description Page Group Index 1 General information 2 To Locate Parts information 3 IMPORTANT Parts Book Format 4 Serial Number Designation 5 READ Parts Identification Aids 6 1 English Metric Conversion 7 I THIS Design Change Effective Point 8 1 Engine Identification 9 10 11 12 13 PAGE Standard and Optional rqrnp 14 15 16 17 Abbreviations 18 19 20 21 Basic RPO Index 22 23 24 25 26 27 Text Group O thru Group 17 Numerical Alphabetical Indexes 1 The WDDGM Grouping System of listing parts is used throughout this Parts Catalog All group numbers are shown in numerical sequence Parts listed in this Catalog are separated into major groups of related parts A list of these major groups is shown on page 1 Index I E Engine Groups 0 CooIing Groups 1 EIectrical Groups 2 etc Each major group is divided by a period into subgroups relative to functional usage Part name headings for multiple subgroups numbers are listed in alphabetical sequence except where the main part or kit would appear first ln detail individual parts are assigned a group number the first numerical identifies the major group it is affiliated with and following the period is the subgroup number consisting of three numerical digits under which parts are listed by functional usage For Example Group 1 064 1 is the major group indicating that it is a Cooling part 064 is the subgroup indicating where all part numbers of Fan Blades and certain related parts in alphabetical heading sequence may be found All aids for locating parts such as the numerical and alphabetical indexes are keyed to the group number The first page of each major group has a black tab for quick reference and includes an index in alphabetical sequence with the subgroup of the most commonly used parts Many RPO Regular Production Option parts are identified by description in the catalog but separate RPO lists are also released in loose leaf form to provide you the detail parts breakdown of a particular RPO Group headings in some cases show See RPO lhe RPO is abbreviated This notation indicates that the part required may be affected by an RPO installation A check of the Service Parts Identification Label or the Sales Order will confirm RPO usage Every Part Added to this Catalog for the first time will be indicated with a Bullet Following the Part Number The Bullet will appear only in the Reprint that the Parts were first added and will be dropped in subsequent Issues This will enable Parts Men to identify all Parts added to the Catalog for each Reprint
