REAR END 4F 15 f HANDLE i A K w Y ELECTRIC conuacron GASKET r 0 SWITCH R 3 lie 1 A il fl y l l l i X 11 l Ei 11 1 1 H r 4 1 el l eff ll 1 I 1 il l ESCUTCHEON 1 GASKET VIEW IN CIRCLE A ELECTRlC WEW N URCLE A lM U Ll ll 54 Fig 4F2l Tail Gate Window Regulator Assembly TAIL GATE WINDOW 2 Disengage lock cylinder case and switch re LOCK CYLINDER SWITCH AND tainer and remove lock cylinder case and switch ESCUTCHEON ASSEMBLY ELECTRIC assembly from escutcheon Removal nd Installation 3 Using a pointed tool inserted through hole in 1 Remove tail gate Window assembly as pI 9 lock cylinder case depress tab of switch retainer Vmusly d9SC1 ib d and remove retainer and switch See Fig 41 23 2 Operate window regulator upward to align 4 Llsing a suitable pliers grasp pin of switch holes in regulator with outside handle access holes cam f 1v and pull Swllch Cam Straight Out mm in inner panel Fig 4Fl5 lock v1 f See F1g 4F23 3 Through access hole remove lock cylinder NOTE Pm is pressed into lock Cylinder and switch and escutcheon assembly attaching nuts may require 8 erm pun to HIGHE Detacli escutcheon sufficiently to disconnect switch from electrical harness connector and remove 5 Using a suitable tool bend out crimped flange escutcheon and switch assembly from body of lock cylinder cap sufficiently to remove cap then remove lock cylinder cap and springs 4 To install reverse removal procedure NOTE The crimped flange on production lock TAIL GATE WINDOW cylinder cap necessitates damaging cap during LOCK CYLINDER SWITCH AND removal from lock cylinder case however serv ESCUTCHEON ASSEMBLY ELECTRIC ice replacement caps are available which have four 4 bend over tabs for installation Disassembly und Assembly 1 Remove tail gate electric window lock cylin 6 Prior to assembly of lock cylinder and switch der switch and escutcheon assembly as previously lubricate frictional surfaces with L1 1briplate or described its equivalent
